Simple Inspection Plus (SI+) Overhaul PLTP Ulumbu Unit 4

MATRA has successfully completed the Simple Inspection Plus (SI+) overhaul of PLTP Ulumbu Unit 4, carried out to safeguard the reliability and continuity of the geothermal plant's operation. The work formed part of a planned maintenance programme intended to keep every major turbine and generator component operating optimally, in line with performance and safety standards.

On this project the MATRA team carried out a range of maintenance and restoration work on critical components — repairing and replacing the dummy ring on the turbine rotor, repairing the diaphragm, and manufacturing and repairing various internal turbine and generator components. Every step prioritised precision, quality, and conformity to technical specification in support of improved equipment reliability.

Alongside the workshop scope, MATRA also performed on-site treatment and commissioning at the project location. This stage covered final inspection, installation, adjustment, testing, and system performance verification, ensuring all equipment could return to service safely, efficiently, and within the established operating parameters.
