MATRA's journey began in June 1969 as a 30 m² machine shop in Bandung run by four mechanics. Built on a dedication to quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, MATRA has grown into a national company working in turbomachinery services and precision engineering, today supported by more than 100 skilled staff and a continually expanding workshop serving the power generation sector and a wide range of other industries.

More than five decades of experience have made MATRA a trusted partner to national companies across the energy and industrial sectors. Its customer portfolio includes companies such as PLN Indonesia Power Services, Pertamina, PUSRI, Pindad, Indorama, and Indofood, along with many others throughout Indonesia.
In 2018, MATRA entered into a Joint Operation (KSO) with PT Indonesia Power Services — formerly known as COGINDO — to provide Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services for power plants managed by PLN Indonesia Power.
